Chilled or not Chilled

Hello Oatly. I found Oatly a year or so ago and love it. I can’t stand dairy milk in my coffee so was taking it black, but Oatly Barista makes it taste amazing! Thank you!

 My questions:

the supermarket has Oatly on the dry goods shelves and in the fridges. What’s the difference? I expected it to need to be chilled always.

Lastly, why two difference lids types? I usually get the screw top (preferred), but sometimes end up with the pop top (which I’m not too keen on).

Thank you again for a great product!

Hello Billy,

Great to hear from you oatfriend!

The biggest difference between these products is the packaging. Our long-life products come in carton with a slightly more advanced construction that includes a thin layer of aluminum, as well as a ring-pull sealed cap. The easiest way to tell these products apart is to look at the top of the carton. The chilled cartons have a pointy top, while the long-life ones have a flat top. With that said, after opening, both these types of products need to be chilled.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

All the best,
