500ml Oatly Barista

Hello,

I have been buying the 500ml Oatly barista and they have always stated to keep refrigerated once opened so we have been able to store them at room temperature. Now the cartons have a new lid and stated keep refrigerated. Just this mean the cartons have been changed and they must now stay in the fridge?

Thanks

Hey Lauren,

Thanks for reaching oat! Can I ask where you are based?

We have both chilled and ambient Barista 1L, but we only have an ambient Barista 500 ml and that one has a flat top, longer shelf life and can be stored in room temperature until opened and once opened it has to be stored in the fridge. The chilled Barista needs to be in the refrigerator at all times, has a shorter shelf life and a triangular top just like this one in the picture:

Hope I've been able to answer your question, please let me know if you have any further questions!

Oat and out,

Hello,

Based in Midlands, England.

It has a flat top as it is the small 500ml carton rather than the large 1L. I have seen the different tops on the 1L but the 500ml have always been flat. They used to say once opened keep refrigerated but now just say keep refrigerated. Just wondered if this is because they have changed or is it a misprint and they can still be stored at room temperature until opened.

Thanks for your help

Hey Lauren,

I am sorry for the delayed response, you had a valid question that I didn't have the answer to, so I had to do a bit of wizardry to understand things so that I can tell you the correct info. I t-oat-ally understand your confusion now, from my understanding, we have a shelf life product stored in the refrigerators in some of the UK retailers and for these items we state keep cold on pack.

However, as these cartons are what we call 'ambient' or in layman's terms 'long-life' they can be stored at room temperature until the seal is broken.

Hope this answered your question.

Oat regards,
Sophia
