We use synthetic flavouring in our chocolate drink. Flavourings consist of ethanol to the largest part (95%) and the remaining 5% is flavour components. The flavours are derived synthetically or from a natural raw material and come from over 100 different sources which is why we can't give further information on the flavouring's origin. However, our supplier is obliged to inform us in the event of any allergen trace. Are you asking from an allergen point of view or does this answer your question?
I am asking in the interest of someone with inflammatory bowel disease that can react to different ingredients. I believed Oatly was "all natural", but your reply mentions synthetic a lot. I would be very interested to know if the Norwegian Chocolate Drink is natural, or if it contains synthetic ingredients, unidentifiable or not? When it says aroma on your packaging, then that entails that the product also contains alcohol? How much alcohol if so? I'm sensitive to alcohol.
In my previous answer, I was only referring to the flavourings (not our ingredients in general) and the flavouring in our chocolate oat drink is synthetic which means it's produced by chemical synthesis (very common within the food industry). Ethanol is used when producing the flavouring but none is left in the finished product.
Our oat drink mainly consists of water and oats and flavourings take up a very small amount in our chocolate oat drink.
I hope this was helpful and that you can enjoy our products. Let me know if you have any further questions!
It doesn't answer my question. In the ingredients of the chocolate drink it says it contains aromas. It already contains cocoa which I guess provides the taste of chocolate.
